Women Do Everything

OK, so I like a big sounding headline like a lot of people. But I really am amazed at what I have learned about the importance of women in families. As a kid and even an adult I took most of this for granted. Beginning with the events that first started revealing this truth to me I need to acknowledge the following: Women carry the baby, give birth to the baby, breast feed the baby and get no sleep lasting anything close to a whole nights rest for I don't know how long (5 weeks as of today and still counting).

In addition to the obvious things above there are many things that I know I'll miss so feel free to leave me comments on those things but a few more that I've come to appreciate are the wedding and baby showers that they throw each other, all the "nesting" activities like shopping, preparing rooms, and determining the "best practices" learned by one another. Plus all the meals they cook and deliver and the love and prayers shown in just holding the baby for a few hours when someone really needs a break.

I never realized how great and important these things were until the last few weeks and am happy to acknowledge them here better late than never.
